New Level, is a collection by painter Tira Walsh (Tainui, Ngāti Wairere, Ngāti Hauā), where she explores the relationship between herself and the complex world around her. Tira presents a suite of paintings that challenge perception. New Level is the world through Tira’s eyes, where vibrancy punctures a bare, industrial landscape, and imperfections are brought to the forefront. The textures, the subtle drawing elements and ominous forms, enable the viewer to be transported to a new level, one where chaos meets structure.
